At QRKIEZ, a big part of our mission is to help neurodivergent young adults navigate the more challenging steps into the real world, from high school to college and college to full-time employment. That’s why we’re proud to launch our Jobs for Neurodivergents page, a first step in providing information on companies with special programs and best practices in hiring neurodivergent adults.
Here are just a few examples of the types of companies you can find on our Jobs page:
- Deloitte, a top global consulting company, has a Neurodiversity@Deloitte program that includes paid internships, buddy/mentor programs, and training opportunities for both neurodivergent hires and their colleagues.
- Walgreens has a Retail Employees with Disabilities Initiative (REDI) program offering retail and distribution jobs for people with a wide variety of disabilities, including people with autism and ADHD. (The company won the 2023 Disability Equity Index Employer of the Year and Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion Award.)
- Google Cloud offers an Autism Career Program that focuses on hiring especially for software engineering and data analysis, and they work with the Stanford Neurodiversity Project, which advises on opportunities and success metrics for neurodiverse individuals in the workplace.
- Local staffing firms such as AutonomyWorks in the Chicago area connect people on the autism spectrum with job opportunities in such fields as digital marketing, quality assurance, and supply chain operations.
Our plan is to continue building on our jobs page and eventually integrate job postings from forward-thinking companies into the QRKIEZ app.
